The Married Person

You changed to a married person
when you two were made into one.
The maker was the one who did it.
When he was finished it was done.

Who should try to separate
would kill the married person.
Invisible as he is, he really is, he lives!
Immortal, this union but blooms when it dies.
Yet should it die early it was all the wise.

For that married person knew always the best.
That married person breathed heaven's breath.
That married person thought not of itself.
Existed in God's mind, existed in stealth.

So often forgotten in favour of two.
This married person consedes when its through,
All it imagined to all that we know.
All its solutions to all that two sow.

The married person strives not, it knows only love.
And should it survive not, it dies that two may live.
Is there a greater love than to surrender for a friend?
We count ourselves expendable
That the Married person may not yet end.
