My Treasure Box in Heaven

My treasure box in heaven is filled with precious pearls,
With Rubies and with Diamonds, such charm the little girls.
My treasure box in heaven is safe from moth and rust.
No thief can steal my treasures, hid within God’s Trust.

My treasure box in heaven holds silver and pure gold,
Wood from distant islands, spices true and bold.
My treasure is not gilded, no imitation glass.
There isn’t a trick in it, no plated steel or brass.

My treasure up in heaven, saved over many a year,
Holds pretty princess dresses and other royal gear.
Filled with gems and jewels in colours never seen before,
Intricate crowns of lucid metals to cast on the King’s floor.

My treasure has rings and bracelets, crystal earrings made of tears.
Necklaces Tiffany could not rival and perfumes made out of prayers.
Nothing on earth can hold its charm for me, there is nothing for which I lust.
My heart is set above the clouds, let the Mercedes rust.

The most precious of my treasure is better than all the best.
This makes me so very happy, joy fills up my breast.
My baby boy is up in heaven, he has found God’s rest.
Compared to him material things seem trivial, toys in a chest.

My heart is treasured up in heaven, safe from danger’s grasp.
My time on earth will fall away as the blossoms of the grass.
My heart is up in heaven, nothing can steal it now.
Nothing for which I covet, nothing to which I bow.

My treasure chest in heaven serves another purpose of late,
It has been lined with softest velvet, it is no longer used as a safe.
Just like bethlehem’s manger which was used to feed the cow,
My treasure box in heaven does double duty now.

My happy little treasure is swaddled in silky satin.
Cuddled up in downy warmth I cannot near imagine.
He is treasured up in heaven, soon I will be at his side.
I will finally get to hold him, hold him and take pride.

My treasured one in heaven, I will live and make you proud.
I will care for your dear loved ones as you look from stadium of cloud.
You have died in Jesus, are safe with him up there.
Your life is hidden in Jesus, I have no other care.
